The Higher Apprenticeship in Advertising and Marketing Communications offers you the opportunity to work in your chosen industry while gaining a recognised qualification.
As an apprentice you will gain real experience of the workplace, a broader understanding of the industry and finish your training ready to work and with a network of professional contacts.
Will I need any qualifications to get onto this apprenticeship?
Yes, you will need to have achieved the following:
- GCSE in English at grade C or above
- GCSE in Mathematics at grade C or above
- Functional Skills qualification in English at level 2
- Functional Skills qualification in Mathematics at level 2
Other than those qualifications, there are no specific qualifications you need. Other qualifications in related subjects, including GCSEs and A-Levels, could give you a useful grounding. Employers will expect you to have a positive attitude, be a confident communicator and have good IT skills along with a strong interest in the industry.
This is a level 4 qualification, which is equivalent to a foundation degree or a Higher National Diploma.
The apprenticeship has been written by advertising and marketing professionals so the information and training is relevant to the current industry. The qualification is run by a training provider who will work with both you and your employer to tailor it to the needs of both you and the company.
