Creative Provision

What is Creative Provision?

Creative Provision is an industry-led development programme, facilitating success in Wales' Creative Industries by developing the industry relevance of creative courses in further (FE) and higher education (HE).

It is a tailored programme for FE and HE creative educators in the following five subject areas; animationcomputer games,televisionfilm and interactive media.

Working with the UK's leading industry experts, Creative Provision will provide bespoke advice and guidance on FE/HE creative course content and delivery in Wales. The programme will improve the creative education in Wales, enabling the courses to meet the challenges of today's rapidly changing industries.

Creative Provision is a two-year pilot programme supported by the Welsh Government's Sector Priority Fund Pilot 2 (SPFP2) until December 2014.

What is included?

Creative Provision provides effective and sustainable industry engagement in course design and delivery through bespoke mentoring, detailed feedback on course content and delivery, a series of workshops, surgeries and best practice events addressing key needs in further and higher education in Wales.

Creative Provision 2013-14 programme

Course Mentoring: from Creative Industries experts

An opportunity to access bespoke advice and guidance from a creative expert, who will engage in dialogue with the course across a 6-month period to help facilitate industry relevance, widen industry contacts and advise on latest industry best practice.

Development Programme: Course surgeries

One-to-one diagnostic sessions with a relevant industry expert, tailored to address the identified individual needs of the course.

Development Programme: Workshops

Led by the UK's leading experts from across the Creative Industries and covering a wide range of topics, these group workshops will assist creative and digital media educators to meet the challenges of today's rapidly changing industries.

Development Programme: Engaging with industry

Tailored visits into industry for digital media educators wishing to engage Creative Industries in Wales; further embedding industry knowledge.

Best practice events

Bridging the gap between industry and education, these two day free events held in both north and south Wales will include keynote speakers from the UK's leading creative experts and provide an opportunity to connect, network and share knowledge for sustainable industry-led creative education in Wales.
