Apprenticeships in Broadcast Production

The Higher Apprenticeship in Broadcast Production has been designed by TV professionals, so the training is relevant to the industry.

This is a level 4 qualification equal to a foundation degree or a Higher National Diploma.

What are the entry requirements?

Each apprentice must have achieved these prior qualifications:

  • GCSE in English at grade C or above
  • GCSE in Mathematics at grade C or above

or

  • Functional Skills qualification in English at level 2
  • Functional Skills qualification in Mathematics at level 2

If applicants have other qualifications in related subjects, this will stand them in good stead, but it is not essential. They must also have an interest in and appreciation of the TV industry and a range of soft skills and attributes such as team work, IT skills and communication skills.

As a college or training provider, it will be your responsibility to provide the off-the-job learning. You will need to work with each apprentice and employer to tailor the training to the needs of both.
