Funding for Children's TV Training

There are various funding opportunities open to Children's TV live-action production companies to invest in training that addresses the industry's priority skills needs. The schemes we manage are listed below.

The Company Co-investment scheme is NOW OPEN for applications. This is a rolling fund with applications assessed every month.

Priority Training for Children's TV is NOW OPEN for applications. Closes 9am 11 September 2017

Company Co-investment

Company co-investment grants support Children's TV levy-paying production companies to deliver ambitious training in response to the priority skills needs and in-demand roles identified by the live-action Children's TV sector.

Applications can be submitted to support training needed for an active production or for the skills development of your staff/business. Activities supported may include but are not limited to:

  • Shadowing and mentoring and ‘stepping up’ programmes
  • Professional development of employees and freelancers
  • Training programmes

Training must be completed by 30 March 2018.

Priority Training

Priority Training offers co-investment to deliver training in priority skills or that helps people progress into in-demand roles needed by the Children's TV industry. It is targeted to training providers or companies with experience of delivering industry-led training.

Priority Training is open to applications for training in Children's TV. 

Trainee Finder

Trainee Finder is a service that matches trainees with high-end and children's TV levy-paying productions across the UK. 

The scheme, which is supported by Creative Skillset’s Skills Investment Fund, aims to ensure a continued supply of a new generation of talent, capable of world-class creative content.

Taking on trainees through Trainee Finder enables you to claim back a percentage of the trainee’s training allowance for the duration of their placement on your production.
