Can I apply for funding to attend one of your training courses?

Depending on the training course you choose, there may be funding opportunities available to cover part of the cost of your training.

If you are a freelancer working in the TV industry in Wales or in the wider creative media industries you may be eligible to receive a Creative Skillset Cymru Freelance bursary. These are grants of 80% towards the cost of a course, up to a maximum limit of £800 for you to spend on continuing professional development (CPD) training.

What type of training do you offer?

We work with training providers to run full time, part time and short courses. These courses are mainly aimed at industry professionals looking to up-skill or make a career change, as well as new entrants to the industry.

Our training schemes continuously adapt and develop according to industry needs.

I am a training provider who is interested in delivering one of your training programmes, how can I do this?

Training providers, assessment centres, education institutions, employers and businesses in general can apply to the fund to deliver training in the skills needs identified by our research.

Organisations have the chance to apply to deliver one of our training programmes via a tendering process. When available, training tenders are listed on the Sell2Wales website and are open for organisations to apply.

Are these training programmes industry-relevant?

Yes. The training programmes developed under the Skills for the Digital Economy Programme are in response to skills needs identified by industry research undertaken by Trends Business Research and Olsberg|SPI as well as skills identified by Creative Skillset Cymru's 2011 Strategic Skills Assessment (SSA). Training programmes are also guided by our Industry Steering Group.
