"It's a unique experience to see a production from the inside out. It gives a 360 insight into the creative process and is an amazing opportunity to develop as a director."

Tina Gharavi, also on the High End TV Drama Directors Career Development Programme, is a BAFTA-nominated and award-winning filmmaker and she will be working alongside director Gilles Bannier on The Tunnel.

"I am looking forward to working closely with Gilles Bannier who has created some of the best French TV shows (Spirals). TV is the widest and most exciting landscape at the moment for storytelling. I'm thrilled to be entering into the world of high end drama which this opportunity is enabling and ensuring that the vision of who a TV director can be is transformed at the same time.

The Directors UK Directors’ Festival is the only industry event designed by directors for directors, celebrating the art and craft of directing - This year the festival takes place on Saturday 1 July 2017 at the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre, in Central London, offering a range of sessions, panels and events to help inspire and elevate, with a range of attendees working across TV, film, music, commercials, video games and more.
