Working in partnership with industry through our Skills Councils and informed by leading research, Creative Skillset directs the Skills Investment Fund to create training in priority skills and for in-demand roles needed by the UK’s Creative Industries.
Collective investment in future skills
We invest grants from the Skills Investment Fund directly into creative businesses so that they can boost skills and develop talent in their companies.
Company Co-investment Grants
This call for co-investment (previously known as the Challenge Fund) helps companies deliver ambitious training which responds to the priority skills needs in animation, film, games, VFX, Children's and high-end TV industries. Production Company Development Grants
Feature film production companies which have contributed to the Film Production Levy from 1 April 2014 can apply for grants of up to £8,000 to deliver creative and practical ways to boost skills and develop talent within their companies. About the Film Skills Fund
Production Company Development Grants are made possible by Creative Skillset's Film Skills Fund. The Film Skills Fund is the largest fund in the UK dedicated to supporting film-specific training. It is funded by the BFI as part of its film skills strategy with funds from the National Lottery, and through the Skills Investment Fund which comprises industry and government co-investment.
