Hit the Ground Running Roadshow announces 2017 dates

The 90 minute sessions are free to attend and will give invaluable, practical advice to anyone wanting a career behind the scenes in film and TV drama.

Top industry experts will guide you through the key questions - what jobs are available as part of a film crew, what working life on set is like and exactly what employers are looking for on your CV. The Roadshows are fun and jargon-free, and will feature the chance for a coffee and one-on-one chat to answer any questions about careers in the film and TV drama industries.

Places at the Roadshows are free of charge and open to anyone with an interest in a career in the media. The events are led by freelance production practitioner and trainer Linda Fraser (with 20 years’ experience working on projects for BBC, STV and more) and Alison Goring, highly experienced Assistant Director and now a Training Manager at BECTU.

If you want to work in film and tv drama, it can be difficult to know where to start. Our Roadshow is touring Scotland to share insight and advice to anyone considering a career behind the camera. We’ll be sharing lots of practical tips and signposting opportunities and organisations that can help you get started.  Linda Fraser, Hit the Ground Running
