Applications open for Line Producer training in High End TV
Working with industry experts and leading trainers, TRCmedia will provide participants with first class training for experienced professionals looking to develop their careers as Line Producers.
What’s on offer?
The course will cover the essential training required to become a Line Producer, as well as the opportunity to experience the role first hand on a drama production. The programme will deliver participants training in three parts:
- An intensive week of training delivered by industry experts, taking place in Glasgow from 4-8 December 2017. Training will cover areas ranging from scheduling and budgeting to time management and negotiation skills.
- A mentoring or shadowing opportunity on a drama production, allowing the trainee to use skills learnt on the residential in a practical context.
- A two-day follow-up programme in March 2018 to address any additional needs as identified by placements/mentoring.
Who can apply?
The programme is open to Production Managers, 1st ADs and Production Accountants with a minimum of three years’ experience in drama or feature film production, based in the Nations and Regions of the UK. Up to 8 places will be available on the course.
This scheme is supported by the High End TV Levy Fund, managed by Creative Skillset and by National partners Creative Scotland and Northern Ireland Screen in association with Screen Yorkshire. The course fee is £500* (excluding travel and accommodation).
