New Apprenticeship Standards for industry review and feedback
Creative Skillset is currently supporting ‘Trailblazer’ employers and professional bodies to develop a range of Apprenticeship Standards for Creative Industries roles from Animation to Broadcast Engineering. We now need your help to refine the new draft Apprenticeship Standards.
April's Standards for feedback are below. Simply click on the link you'd like to comment on:
- Animator (Level 7)
- Storyboard Artist (Level 7)
- Production Manager (Level 7) – We’d really like to know if a 'core' and 'options' approach would work better for this role; e.g. should an apprentice do two of the three options suggested
We also have a proposal to develop a Standard for a Production Co-ordinator, the draft for this Standard is here – please let us know if you feel there is a demand for a Production Co-ordinator Apprenticeship.
You are invited to review the draft Standards, give us your thoughts on the skills, knowledge and behaviours identified so far, and any that you feel may be missing. This will help us and the Working Group employers, to determine whether the Apprenticeships truly reflects industry best practice.
How can I get involved?
Simply download the draft Standards, then email firstname.lastname@example.org with your feedback.
The consultation will be running from now until midday on Tuesday 25 April. We will be holding consultations each month as Standards progress. Other Standards currently in development are:
- Broadcast and Communications Technical Operator
- Broadcast and Communications Technician
- Broadcast and Communications Engineer
- Principal Technologist
- Props Technician
If you are interested in joining the employer Working Group for any of these Standards, or have queries regarding the new Standards development process, please contact email@example.com
