Apprenticeship standards

Creative Skillset has been supporting "trailblazer" employer groups to develop new apprenticeship standards. 

Standards that are already approved and ready for use:

  • NEW Junior Content Producer Level 3 
  • NEW Broadcast Production Assistant Level 3
  • Creative & Digital Media (existing framework) Level 3
  • Junior Journalist Level 3
  • Photo Imaging (existing framework) Level 3
  • Assistant Technical Director (VFX) Level 4
  • Junior 2D Artist (VFX) Level 4
  • Broadcast Technology (existing framework) Level 6
  • Outside Broadcast Engineer Level 7
  • Bespoke Tailor & Cutter Level 5

The following standards are in development and planned for use from autumn 2018: 

  • Photographic Assistant Level 3 
  • Creative Industries Production Manager Level 7
  • Post Production Technical Operator Level 4
  • Assistant Animator Level 4 
  • Storyboard Artist Level 7
  • Broadcast and Media Systems Engineer Level 6 Degree Apprenticeship 
  • Broadcast and Media Systems Technical Operator Level 3 
  • Broadcast and Media Systems Technician Level 5 
  • Props Technician Level 3 

Awaiting approval from the Institute of Apprenticeships to develop:

  • Production Co-ordinator Level 4
