InterMedia LGBT network group

InterMedia is a networking group for LGBT people working in the media and creative industries, set up by Creative Skillset and Stonewall in 2012.

InterMedia aims to provide a comfortable forum for networking, forming new professional contacts, finding jobs and seizing business opportunities, through regular events and social media.

Many media and creative companies may be perceived as LGBT friendly but their informal image and practices can make it harder to network and be out for LGBT people.

Although an informal network, InterMedia can offer support and clout where there is beneficial change to be made and enthusiasm to work together.

InterMedia holds gatherings every few months at present, at different locations across the UK. Some events have speakers, some have some just social. So far we've had drinks at Channel 4, an all lesbian panel at ITV, Sink the Pink on the decks at MTV and a birthday cake at the BBC.

To find out about future events visit the InterMedia website or follow InterMedia on Twitter

Or to get networking straight away join the InterMedia group on LinkedIn.
